A. Our therapist are available Monday through Saturday, including evenings. Our Psychiatrists are available Monday through Friday, including evenings.

Kim Elkin, LMHC

Kim Elkin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters Degree in Counseling.  She received her Masters Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Florida in 1991. Kim has more than 23 years experience as a psychotherapist and has been in a private practice setting for 23 years. 

Prior to establishing her private practice, she worked at The Renfrew Center as an Eating Disorder Specialist.  She has also worked at the Sexual Assault Treatment Division as a trauma therapist.  Her areas of specialty are eating disorders, sexual abuse issues, women’s issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, gay and lesbian issues, couples counseling, coping with divorce, and grief counseling.

She has a passion for helping people transform the pain or confusion in their lives into peace and happiness through compassion.  Her greatest joy is to help her patients understand their problems as stepping stones to growth and awakening.  Her goal as a therapist is to assist others in the development and implementation of specific tools and skills in order to empower them to better self manage and function in their daily lives.

Kim is an active member in the community as well as in her children’s schools.  She volunteers her time whenever possible and is fully engaged in her role as a working mother.
