A. Our therapist are available Monday through Saturday, including evenings. Our Psychiatrists are available Monday through Friday, including evenings.









Harvey A. Chitiva, M.D.

Harvey Chitiva M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist witha subspecialty in Child and Adolsecent Psychiatry. Dr. Chitiva provides psychiatric management to Children, Adolescents and Adults in the areas of ADHD, Autism, Behavior Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, OCD, and PTSD, among other psychiatric disorders. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Chitiva obtained his M.D. degree from the National University of Columbia. His background includes working as a member of a psychiatric research group for the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine that investigated the relationship between Substance Abuse Disorders and Mood Disorders. He then completed his internship and residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and subsequently completed his fellowship training in the filed of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with the University of Miami, where he was awarded the Annual Child and Adolescent Fellow Research Award for best research project. During his training as a psychiatrist, he was recognized with an award on teaching excellence to medical students. In addition, he has worked in research publications that investigated the relationship between behavioral problems and past trauma in adolescents, has written case reports and has particpated in psychiatric publications for medical students.
