Glorianne Vazquez, Psy.D.

Dr. Glorianne Vazquez is a bilingual clinical psychologist licensed in the states of Florida and New York. She has experience working with clients that are struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship problems, job stress, trauma, loss, and medical issues. Dr. Vazquez tailors the treatment to the needs of her clients and helps them identify goals and the steps to achieve these.

Dr. Vazquez graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). As an undergraduate, she participated in ADHD research under the University’s Applied Social Research Center. Dr. Vazquez obtained her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Ponce School of Medicine (APA Accredited Program), where, as part of her doctoral dissertation, she studied the prevalence of Borderline Personality Disorder symptomatology in women with substance abuse. Dr. Vazquez received specialty training in the area of clinical adult psychology through the completion of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship programs both at New York City’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center.

Prior to joining Linda Berlin, Psy.D. & Psychological Associates, Dr. Vazquez worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for the New York State Office of Mental Health in the Fort Hamilton Outpatient Clinic in Brooklyn, NY. While at the Fort Hamilton OPC, she treated clients with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, trauma related issues, multiple medical conditions, chronic pain, and psychosocial problems. Dr. Vazquez also provided clinical supervision to psychology externs and social work interns. Dr. Vazquez completed the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Training from Behavioral Tech, LLC. She is also trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments such as CBT, Seeking Safety, Prolonged Exposure, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. Vazquez’s approach to psychotherapy starts with creating a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients in order to work collaboratively with them so they can increase their abilities to attain a more balanced and satisfying life. She focuses on helping clients enhance their strengths and learn skills that can assist them in dealing with life challenges. Dr. Vazquez provides individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
